TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

TabTrade — The Short Version

TabTrade.com went live in Q1 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.

That last detail is relevant. It means the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is better than a random name you cannot trace.

They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.

Market coverage: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For something this new, that range is broad.

The Software

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both platforms from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Having both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.

MT5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MetaTrader before, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural once they try it.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for algo traders but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be in the works. That will be a good addition once it is live.

Costs

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. $0 to start. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often under 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade has no minimum.

VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not for the average person. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.

Execution Speed

The execution is the thing this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers quote hundreds of milliseconds.

Does this affect you? For short-term trading, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.

Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the total package holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.

Safety

This is the part that matters. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It does inform your assessment.

What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether this deal makes sense comes down to your priorities.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade has a deposit bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard welcome offer. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you deposit.
